My dog went in for a routine dental cleaning. I always do blood work prior and I'm glad I did as his liver values came back too high to continue with the procedure.
Was recommended to start on Denamarin but decided to search for a cheaper alternative and found this product. Start immediately and then rechecked blood work 1 month later(greatly improved) and then continued using product for 2 more months and then rechecked again at 3 months. His blood work came back perfect!! Definitely recommend!!

Got this for my senior dogs, one has CCD it seems to be helping her so much !

I will continue to purchase this product because I think it's really helping my older dog keep up with our younger dog! He's still a spry and smart little guy, who never misses a thing!

Dog seemed to like the flavor. Didnt have to disguise the pill with cream cheese.

My 14 year old Yorkie loved these supplements. I bought them for her as a demarin substitute because the supply shortage made it impossible to buy demarin. She did not like her other meds but really enjoyed these.

I've been giving my 12 year old pittie mix this supplement for about a year now and he seems to love the flavor. We were worried about his aging brain and the potential of dementia, so Sam e was recommended. He seems to be doing well, still has a pep in his step and remembering all of the commands that he learned as a pup. We'll continue using it for sure!

Helping my dog with a liver shunt problem

It has helped my lab with his poor liver function. He feels better and he is shedding less. The taste is not great. I tuck it into a pill pocket for my dog.

Our dog has had high ALT and ALP liver values for years. We have been giving him a SAM-e supplement for liver support for the past 5 years or so, and so far, so good; his liver values are still higher than normal, but stable. We are glad to find this formulation. The other SAM-e supplements we used previously were roughly 2 to 3 times the cost. This formulation seems to work just fine, and the SAM-e part of the formula is a dog "happy pill." His blood draw in a month will confirm whether these are really doing the job.

My Pup didn't like the flavor but this stuff literally works like magic, my vet recommended this to me after what seemed like a stroke for my dog. I can literally see the difference in her within an hour of her taking it she seems normal and even younger, (shes 13) but before that she gets wobbly and uneasy looking it's sad to see. Glad I found this my miracle pill (at least for my pup)

I like having other options for SAMe however I wish the labeling was a little more clear. The front clearly states 225mg but in the smaller dosing information it states that is takes 4 tablets to get that 225mg dose. Because of this I initally gave my dog a much lower dose than she was supposed to be getting. She is doing great now that she is getting the right amount!!!!

Happy dog will take them and use them for one dog that could not barely walk until this supplement and also a dog that is really hyper with anxiety. Both Love the taste. You do have to take quite a bit for bigger dogs so bottle does not last very long if you more than one dog. LOL :)

When Denamarin for large dogs became unavailable at Amazon, we decided to see if a generic would fill in so we purchased this brand. It seems to work similarly since our dog's liver enzymes are back in the normal range again. It is a great value with 120 tablets for around $35.00 vs. 30 tablets for over $50.

We had been using a different brand of SAME supplement before this, that I had to wrap in a pill pocket for my pup to take. Started doing the same with these, but realized that he liked the flavor enough to skip the pill pocket altogether! He will chew this pill right out of my hand, no problems

My dog loves these and they work very well for him compared to the previous medication I used to give him.

My dog has been on denamarin, but for several months was unable to get. Switched to this product, and added some milk thistle. His last blood test came back improved lower liver enzymes. Vet said to go ahead and keep him on it ( even tho now able to get the denamarin). Cost about the same, and benefit is good. My dog is a 9yr scottie.

Unlike some pills, my pup does not mind taking this one, and after a few weeks I noticed her being more alert and engaged during the day. Going to keep giving her this supplement, which is widely recommended by the canine cognitive dementia group I follow on FB.

My dog Medussa takes Denamerin for liver disease on the past and it works great but is a little expensive $80 + ?? but my veterinarian recommend to me this product that it works the same or better and in my budget. I highly recommend it ?????

SAMe was recommended by our vet for our aging dog. At first it was difficult to get him to take the pills. He simply did not like the smell of it, and he could detect it through all the bribes/treats we paired with it. Though not ideal, we finally hid it in his regular meals to get used to the taste/smell. Then we slowly introduced it with treats and now we can just give it to him on an empty stomach as stated in the directions.

My senior dog, Momo has always had elevated liver levels. However, about 4 years ago he started to have focal seizures which can be caused by a liver deficiency. He was on Denamarin until the pandemic hit and now, it's on MFG backorder. I had to find an alternative quickly and after doing some reseach on different brands I found Vita Pet Life. Although it only contains the Sam-E component and not the silybin A&B that Denamarin has (I was able to buy that separately), this product has met my dog's needs. He has not had a focal seizure and I am honestly considering staying with this product even after Denamarin is back in stock as it costs much less for the same effect. ($37/mo vs. $90/mo). Highly recommend.

Our dog has raised liver enzymes and has been taking this for the last few months after Denamarin became hard to find. He doesnt seem to mind the taste, though he doesnt seem super excited by it, either. Overall, were pleased and hope it helps to keep his liver levels at a healthy place next time we get blood work!

The price!

There is a pricier version of this same product that was recommended by my vet when my American Bulldog somehow ingested a toxic amount of poison. Her liver enzyme count was well over 1100 when less than 110 was normal. The vet didn't think she would survive and suggested this ingredient mix as the only possible solution to clean and detoxify her liver. It worked, thank goodness it worked and exceeded expectations for everyone concerned. While later shopping for a refill, I came across this brand with the same dosing schedule and identical ingredients as the pricier version and have been unable to tell any difference from my perspective. The dog is still doing fine and is still taking these daily. Can't say anything about the flavor or taste but they stink to high heaven! I hide them inside a ball of cream cheese; otherwise, she would likely turn her nose up at them based on the smell alone. I know I would.

My dog is on Rx medication that can be hard on the liver. I got these as a support for liver function. The label says it also promotes cognitive brain support. Not sure if that part is working -- Rufus is still a dumb lunk of a hound dog. But he loves these pills. He thinks they are a treat.
